Graduate Students
Taylir Bullick
Ph.D. Student
Taylir is from Elbow Lake, Minnesota.
She received a BA in chemistry from the University of Minnesota, Morris. There, she worked on a project to develop a lab for organic chemistry students, and on another involving ferrocenyl ligands as a McNair Scholar. Taylir joined the Caputo group in the Fall of 2018 to pursue her interests in carbene chemistry and small molecule activation.
Charles (Cj) Wilson
Ph.D. Student
Cj is from Edgewood, MD just outside of Baltimore. He received his B.S. in Chemistry (Hons.) from Liberty University in 2017. Before joining the Caputo Lab, he spent some time in the pharma industry working as an analytical research chemist. Cj joined the Caputo group in the Fall of 2020 to pursue his love of inorganic synthesis and jump into the world of photocatalytic chemistry.
Dylan Stolba
Ph.D. Student
Dylan is from Trumbull, CT. He received his B.S. in chemistry and a minor in mathematics from University of Rhode Island in 2021. During his time in undergrad he worked on supramolecular host/guest chemistry and hopes to apply this experience in the Caputo group in the field of photocatalysis. His hobbies outside of lab include snowboarding/long boarding, playing guitar, and playing ultimate frisbee.
Katie Facteau
Ph.D. Student
Katie is from Clifton Park, NY a little bit North of Albany. She received her B.S. in chemistry from Siena College in 2022. Her undergraduate work focused on naturally occurring compounds in biomedical applications. She joined the Caputo group in the fall of 2022 and started working with group 13 synthesis before shifting to working with carbon dots for their use as biocompatible UV-absorbers.
Summer Students
Amélie Bunnell joins us from Philips Exeter Academy for the summer. She'll be working on fabrication of carbon nitride electrodes for photoelectrocatalysis. In her spare time she enjoys playing field hockey, heading to the beach and working at an ice cream shop.
